1Introduction & Operating Entity

Welcome to LinguoPath. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you visit our website or use our practice platform.

LinguoPath is operated by Cristian Leonardo Mier Jimenez("LinguoPath", "we", "us", or "our"), with principal operating address in Quito, Pichincha, Ecuador, Postal Code 170201.

2Data Collection & Usage

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when creating an account or using the platform:

  • Authentication Data: We utilize Firebase Authentication to securely manage candidate accounts (email and display name). Session tokens and local storage keep you securely logged in.
  • Practice & Performance Records: Written essays, reading answer selections, Use of English gap entries, test scores, timestamps, and speech transcripts are stored in Cloud Firestore to track academic progress and CEFR readiness.

3Voice Data & Audio Processing (Speech AI)

Our speaking practice modules and simulated interview stations record speech via your browser microphone when you explicitly initiate recording. We maintain a strict, privacy-first architecture for voice data:

  • Ephemeral In-Memory Processing: Recorded speech is transmitted directly and securely over encrypted TLS connections to our backend and Google Cloud Vertex AI (Gemini) for real-time transcription, acoustic fluency analysis, and CEFR rubric evaluation.
  • No Permanent Audio Storage: LinguoPath does not save, store, or archive raw audio recordings in database collections or cloud storage buckets. As soon as the evaluation response is generated, the in-memory audio data is immediately deallocated.
  • No Biometric Identification: We do not create biometric voiceprints, voice templates, or acoustic voice profiles to identify candidates. Audio is used solely for pedagogical assessment of language competence.
  • No AI Model Training: Under Google Cloud's Enterprise AI Terms, customer prompts and audio inputs submitted via enterprise APIs are never used to train or fine-tune public foundational AI models.
  • Candidate Control: The resulting text transcripts, acoustic metrics, and score records saved in your dashboard can be viewed, exported, or permanently deleted at any time from your account settings.

4Artificial Intelligence Evaluator & Non-Affiliation

Our platform utilizes Generative AI to provide immediate diagnostic evaluations calibrated to international examination rubrics (such as Cambridge English and TOEFL scales).

  • Candidate writing and speech transcripts are analyzed against published CEFR descriptors solely to return constructive scoring feedback and target improvements.
  • Personal identifiable information (such as your real name, email address, or billing identity) is never passed into AI evaluation prompts.
  • Independent Simulation: LinguoPath is an independent preparation service. AI score evaluations are diagnostic simulations and do not constitute an official qualification, certificate, or endorsed exam result from Cambridge Assessment or ETS.

5Payment Processing & Financial Information

All subscription order processes, billing transactions, and tax collections are conducted directly by our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC, a Stripe company).

PCI-DSS Level 1 Encrypted Processing

LinguoPath does not collect, process, or store credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or CVVs on our servers. All financial transactions are encrypted and processed by Lemon Squeezy via Stripe in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS Level 1). Your billing data is subject to Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy.

6Minors, Teenage Candidates (Ages 13–17) & Children Under 13

Many international exam candidates (such as students preparing for Cambridge B1 Preliminary for Schools, B2 First, or C1 Advanced) are teenagers. We enforce strict safety, consent, and age controls:

  • Children Under 13 Strictly Prohibited:In strict compliance with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") and international child privacy laws (including GDPR Article 8), children under the age of 13 are strictly prohibited from creating accounts, submitting essays, or recording audio on LinguoPath.
  • Teenage Learners (Ages 13–17): Candidates between 13 and 17 years of age may only register and use LinguoPath with the knowledge and affirmative consent of a parent or legal guardian. By registering and utilizing speech recording features, teenage candidates confirm that their parent or guardian has reviewed and accepted these terms.
  • Parental Rights & Immediate Data Deletion:Parents and legal guardians have the right at any time to inspect their child's practice history, transcripts, and account data, or to request the immediate, permanent deletion of their minor child's account and associated data.
Parental Inquiries & Rapid Data Erasure

If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that your child under 13 has accessed LinguoPath, or if you wish to exercise data rights regarding a minor aged 13–17, please contact our data controller directly at contact@linguopath.com. We will immediately investigate and securely erase all corresponding records.

7Third-Party Trademarks & Non-Affiliation

Cambridge English, B2 First (FCE), C1 Advanced (CAE), C2 Proficiency (CPE), and IELTS are registered trademarks of Cambridge University Press & Assessment and the University of Cambridge. TOEFL and TOEFL iBT are registered trademarks of Educational Testing Service (ETS). LinguoPath is an independent educational platform operated by Cristian Leonardo Mier Jimenez and is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with the University of Cambridge, Cambridge Assessment, or ETS.

8Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, or jurisdictions with applicable privacy regulations, you hold legal rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, rectify, export, or delete your information.

You can permanently delete your account and associated practice data directly from the Settings page in your Dashboard. Upon deletion, your personal records are permanently expunged.
